Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Number of flight segments bookable via BA Holidays

Seen a few comments about this recently dotted over the site so thought it might be good idea to start a dedicated thread to collect peoples experiences.

Some people have reported that BA Hols can only book upto 6 sectors and some 8.

My experience is that 8 is possible depending on how it’s booked.

I recently booked this via BA Hols. Included a hotel in ARN to make it a holiday.

    Day 1 – ARN-HEL-LHR
    Day 2 – LHR-DFW-SFO
    Day 8 – SFO-JFK-LHR
    Day 22 – LHR-HEL-ARN

All booked as pairs offered to me in the multi city trip options when I searched it as ARN-LHR / LHR-SFO /SFO-LHR / LHR-ARN

So that’s 8 flights in total. None on BA metal. It did break their system in another way (can’t pay balance via MMB and so have to call) but it’s all now booked and I have ticket number and email from BA Hols about it.

I was offered LHR-MAN-HEL-ARN which would have been 9 flights but at huge cost so I resisted.

(And yes the long delay between day 8 and 22 is deliberate even though it cost a little more but my body and sanity will appreciate the break)

Hi BA Flyer – that looks like a great TP run – the LHR-HEL-ARN is very efficient! Can I check my maths on this please? I make it 1,360 TPs assuming your double BA Hols TPs, unless I am underestimating what you get on DFW-SFO.

I haven’t done the maths but have you factored in Double TP’s only apply to trips originating from the UK?

As it’s ex EU no double TPs. It’s 700 TPs for that plus 80 for the positioning –

    40+80+140+40+140+140+80+40

DFW-SFO is only 40. I’d have preferred JFK-SFO but the availability wasn’t there for the time I needed

BA Flyer & @LittleNick – of course (doh!) – thanks for confirming and for sharing this data generally. Presumably the ex-EU means a much cheaper trip so still efficient from a TP/£ perspective while the BA Hols booking as features a discounted hotel(s) and/or hire car, which makes it worthwhile versus buying the flights alone.
