Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Off peak dates changed?

  • 37 posts

When I looked last night Monday 4th September was showing the off-peak symbol, although the flights hadn’t been released yet.

Not that’s disappeared and the Tuesday – Thursday are showing off-peak.

The previous Tuesday and Wednesday were also off-peak and now aren’t.

Is this an error or do they just change like that?

I’m ready to call and book but not sure if it should be off-peak or not now.

Just looking at another nearby airport and that shows the Monday as off-peak but when I select the flights the number of avios its using is the same as the peak day before.

BA IT is really very frustrating.

Have you looked at the HfP 2023 peak/off peak calendar? The dates don’t change randomly.

One quirk seems to be (on the telephone at least) that if you fly overnight, leaving on an off peak date but arrive on a peak date, the agent charges peak Avios.

Not sure it resolves the IT conflict, but the article is a good reference for 2022/23. https://www.headforpoints.com/2022/01/01/2022-peak-and-off-peak-avios-flight-dates/

That calendar shows it’s a peak date but the date on BA has the off-peak box still.

I’ll ask about it when I call. I’m sure it’ll still be peak avios but doesn’t hurt to query it.
