Was reading through the “will I, should I renew ambassador status” and like others the end of the glitch means no automatic renewal for me, but I might if I had a long stay coming up, especially at many ICs in Asia. The strategy of doing so at the hotel is also wise.
What I’d really like however, is for the lounge pass to extend to free breakfast at hotels which do not have a lounge! I will never again be Diamond as I don’t travel that much but I will be a hairs breath from the lounge pass this year and so have used the double nights promo to do a mattress run of 4 nights at a very cheap HI.
I’ll then hit 40 nights by early November and can then trigger the lounge pass early in 2025 for the whole of 25 and all of 2026. This is a valuable benefit as over the 2years my wife and I will complete enough IC stay to outweigh the £200 mattress run outlay. I made a rookie error in 2022 triggering the pass in December for a single night not realising the full implications.
But it would be great to see lounge pass holders get breakfast at hotels that don’t have lounges.
