Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club One passenger not fly return leg companion voucher booking

  • 16 posts

    Hi
My wife and I have return flights booked using a Companion Voucher. Due to a possible change of plans my wife may not fly back on the booked return flight, although I will.
Am I correct in thinking that this will not cause me any difficulties with BA- it will just be a no show by one passenger?
Second question- are we able to claim back the taxes for the return leg? If so how do you do that?
    Thanks

Shouldn’t cause any problems for 2nd pax not to travel the inbound. Might be complicated claiming taxes as it will be what applies at the destination, not UK APD (which in any case is only a small amount of BA’s surcharges).

Who does the voucher belong to?

The person whose voucher it is is supposed to fly on the flights booked with it. The companion isn’t supposed to fly without the voucher holder.

    Hi there,

Do you have any updates on the outcome of this situation? My husband and I have something similar likely on the horizon and want to ensure he is able to travel with ease. Thanks!

On the return leg you are certain to be fine. What is a no-no is skipping the outbound and hoping to take the return.
