Forums Other London life Options for Heathrow Terminal 3 pickup

  • 115 posts

    Hi,

I need to pick up my parents from Heathrow Terminal 3. Have previously used Heathrow long term parking with first 2 hours free parking. But noticed that it has been reduced to 30 mins free now.
Are there any other options for picking up from Heathrow? I’ll need around 1.5 – 2 hours there.

    Thanks

    Short stay car park?

No idea how much it would be but maybe you could park off site and only drive in when you know the flight has landed.

Why do you need 2 hours for a pick up?, if you calculate landing time (track it online) and then consider 45 mins for border control and some extra time for luggage arrival, you dont need to be there long.

Parking isnt free anywhere near Heathrow now, with long term gone (even that was 30 mins walk away)

Right, ok. Will try that. Thanks

It’s £5.30 for 30min in the short stay car park. If you time it right that should be enough. It’s £8.xx for 1hr if you run over. I’ve done a couple of family pickups in the last few weeks and no problem getting in and out in 20min.

Assuming a UK passport + bags it’ll take minimum 20min from landing time to get through.

There is a cafe Nero in the terminal right by the foot bridge to the short stay car park so if they beat you could always wait for you there …

Thanks, ended up doing as you said. Timing was perfect and it took 30 mins.
