Partner rewards availability

Hi

Is partner reward availability the same for all partner Airlines?

By this I mean if I want to book Delta via VS Flying Club, I understand VS have different inventory to what Delta might have but would VS and say Flying Blue have the same access to Delta inventory?

Looking at flights from ATL to MCO and availability on Delta varies wildly from day to day.

In general, airlines offer award inventory to all partners … but there are exceptions:

– some airlines block some partners from some or all award inventory (eg it seems Virgin Atlantic does not offer all inventory to Singapore because Singapore does not offer all to Virgin)
– airlines do not show from some or all award inventory from partners due to IT integration issues

the latter problem might be resolved by picking up the phone and asking to book. Final point to note, once award availability has been found, it may be cached in the partners database, but when you try and book it, it is actually gone (so called ‘phantom availability’). This also leads to discrepancies between availability showing on different partners websites.
