4 of us travelling on 241 rewards on BA292 tonight. It has been switched from A380 to B777, tried to check in online and had been watching seats for a couple of days, club all full bar 2 seats. Have called BA as saw online there are reward fares on the earlier flight.. only CS team can’t see them.. and can’t do anything say only airport staff can.. is it worth going to the airport really early? Don’t really want to be downgraded or have to wait overnight! Any other suggestions do’s/don’t?? Trying to be proactive when BA obvs don’t give one lol..

Have any of you been able to check in online? Have you had a message to contact BA or anything? Sometimes you only see the true seat availability when OLCI opens but it sounds as though you’re past that now.

BA292 showing no availability it J or W on ExpertFlyer. BA216 showing lots of availability in all cabins. It’s times like this you just wish they’d let you switch. Helps them and helps you. Good luck.

BA don’t send out plane change notifications unless it’s exceptional such as it being changed to a wetlease so don’t get too exercised by not getting anything.

On the day the call centre has very limited ability to rebook unless it’s for cancellations.

Depending in the timings you arrive at the airport the check in staff have more flexibility and might be able to move you to the other flight so worth asking but I personallly wouldn’t get there too early.

A gentle reminder that it’s a good idea to tell us the route and not just the flight number.
