So from reading & browsing here, I guess:
-I just book on Plat. page & that’s it?
-Hotels: I’m guessing no status recognition?

The steps I used to book and use the credit:
Log in to your amex platinum account
Navigate to amex travel -> Menu -> travel -> book travel online
Search for the hotel/ car hire/ flight
At the top right of the next screen you should see your name and points balance and travel credits – click on travel credits and it will show your £200 voucher and the use by date
Choose your hotel and then it will ask if you want to apply your credit – complete the booking.
You pay the whole cost but the credit should appear fairly quickly on your statement (mine showed before the travel reservation posted)
Any prebooked hotels are through expedia (I think) , so no status recognition.The steps I used to book and use the credit:
