I opened my account in July and have now been charged the full £575 fee. I only plan to keep this account for 3 months to get the referral bonus from Rob. Will amex pro-rata the 3 months and provide a refund ?This is normal – you’ll just have to arrange to have the pro-rata refund transferred back to you after the card is closed. Easier if you don’t remove the card from your account before you do it.
They will transfer the refunded pro-rata fee to another Amex in your name on the same account too.
