Platinum sign-up bonus – any sign of increased referral deal?

I wanted to refer a colleague for the enhanced BAPP sign-up offer from my Amex Platinum (Personal). The referral bonus used to be 24k MR points on my Platinum card but it is now reduced to 12k. Has this changed recently?

Also, @rob/@rhys is there any indication that Amex is going to increase the referral offer in the next few days to align with their enhanced sign-up bonuses?

24k was an enhanced special offer. 12k is the norm, also interested to know if any insider indications of another enhanced coming!
