I’ve been getting targeted ads for a Poodle card promising to give 3x or 4x Avios per £1 spent on Payroll, on HMRC bills, and normal business expenses.
Obviously getting any Avios at all for Payroll would be too good to be true on its own so I looked into this website and wanted to point o how easy it was to learn that:
– They have no Ts and Cs on their site
– The company was started less than a year ago
– Its only director has already resigned leaving the company void of any director or person of significant control which is illegal
– Their company is registered in an industrial estate (not illegal but make of it what you will for a card company)
– Connected companies and connected people (all this is searchable on Companies House) have a record of starting companies and dissolving them within a year.None of this is consistent with a serious company. There are plenty of red flags so my advice would be not to give your money away to anyone who comes along with a slick looking website and Instagram ads, it’s just so easy to do these days.
