I booked a return ticket for next month and just noticed the price is now lower for the same flights. I’m thinking about making a new booking and applying for an e-voucher for the first one but not sure if it’s worth it.
Should I expect any issues having 2 bookings for the exact same flights, for the same person, and with the same account, before applying for the voucher?
My main concern is if they would cancel the second booking as duplicate before processing the voucher for the first one, leaving me without any ticket.I’m guessing the voucher part wouldn’t be an issue (flight-only booked on ba.com and operated by BA) or is there anything I’m missing?
no problem at all – 2 ticketed bookings (and straight forward online bookings are immediately ticketed) will work fine

Are eVouchers still a thing? When does the Book With Confidence (I.e. cancel for free) thing end? You want to make sure you don’t fall foul of those rules.
From what I see it’s still valid for “bookings for travel due to be completed by 30 September 2022”
I’ve found that as soon as I’ve applied for an evoucher on a cash only ticket that the booking gets cancelled (and removed from MMB after a refresh) at the same time as the voucher is issued.
I’d have no hesitation is cancelling and then using that voucher to pay for the new flights and getting a further voucher for the change.
How much is the reduction?

The reason I’d rather rebook first is to make sure the price doesn’t go up again and I end up paying more. I’ll definitely use the voucher anyway.
The original price was around £900 and went down by about £150. I waited too much and now it’s only £50 so I’ll check later as it’s not really worth it anymore.
