Priority Pass Restaurants & Amex Plat

Hello.

Are Amex now including access to restaurants with the platinum card and priority pass?

I was under the impression these were not included, just the lounges are. However I am logged into the priority pass app and it is now showing the restaurants as well as the lounges. I thought the app was personalised to only show what you have access to?

Which airport? You get access to a tiny number of them. Generally tho you need to use amex global lounge finder, priority pass app doesnt exclude the ones that amex nerfed afaik.

Depends where? LGW South Grain Store and BER Moevenpick Cafe both work on AmEx Platinum-issued PPs, but not aware of any others?

Priority Pass shows everything. Amex lounge finder shows only the ones you can use.

For Amex issued PP, you must use the Amex website to find out which lounges you can use.
PP website is only for those sold directly by PP. Other bank issued PP cards can sometimes suggest you to check PP website.

Is this a recent change to t and c?

When I received my gold card 1903 lounge in Man T2 was showing as available in the PP app..
Now it shows as Additional charge in PP and not showing in the amex lounge finder .

The list of lounges is always subject to change. If you have an Amex issued PP, check the amex website.

When I log in to the PP app and select “MAN” for example, the image that says “Airport Takeout” – it says something along the lines of “These are not available for your subscription”.

LGW shows Grain Store as confirmed above.

I have just checked my PP App (PP from Amex Plat) and it is only showing lounges and restaurants I have access to. So for example it shows Grain Store for Gatwick South, but no restaurants for Gatwick North. Full PP would give access to a couple of restaurant options at Gatwick North.

One of the big US banks is also now chopping restaurant access so I think it is a trend that Amex started, and if anything we are more likely to see other banks dropping them than Amex changing its mind.
