I’ve had my platinum card for some years and am minded to cancel. My year end is 22 August. If I pay the renewal and use my dining credits in early September, can I cancel by 22 September and get 11 month refund? Thanks
As it stands, yes. The rules have changed though so that pro rata refunds are stopping at some point, we just don’t know when yet. Keep an eye on this site, and hopefully we will get some advance notice of the change being enforced.
@Bagamunro55 – the answer is no, as you don’t get new dining credits at your renewal date. They reset on 1 January and anyway, as yet, there is no confirmation they will continue in 2025. Likewise, your HN credit which resets half yearly.
Thanks JDB!!! Of course, deep down I knew this and had completely forgotten. Cheers.
