    I am Gold in BAEC. I have logged into my account on ba.com and have noticed that when booking a flight the order has chnaged to:

    1. Outbound 2. Inbound 3. Floight Summary 4. Seats 5. Passenger Details 6. Review and Pay

    When I get to seats two things happen;

    1. When making a Club Europe booking the first row is not available, despite my gold staus, and

    2. I am being asked to pay for the seats.

    When I then input passnegr details in which I include my BAEC number and then move to Review and pay, the cost of the seats is included in the total, when seat selection should be free for a gold card holder.

    What is going on? Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

    Welcome to some of the many rubbish features of the new web site!

    Others have reported that the seat fees have been removed at the end of the process, but as I also wanted row 1 I didn’t bother with that route.

    Book the flights without seats then choose then afterwards via MMB.

    That’s what I would do as well – complete the booking without selecting the seats then once the booking has been laid for go into MMB and select them there,.
