    Does anyone have problems logging in to ihg website when outside the uk?

    After entering login details, it just spins forever. Entering the wrong login details results in an error msg.

    Creating a new acct does login right after acct creation, but then wont login again if u logout.

    It does the same on 4 browsers on the mobile, when using a vpn, esim or hotspot of a local sim in another mobile. Also does the same on a tablet and a second mobile.

    Their IT is very unpredictable, but I’ve never had a problem using the app for straightforward stuff, wherever I’ve been.
    Surely creating a new account is just going to mess up your bookings, points, etc?

    Im not usimg the new acct, was using it as a test to see if it was just my main acct that cant log in.

    The app is working, tho I suspect that is only cos it was already logged in before leaving the uk. Problem is I want to check the availability of a creation voucher which gives the use by error on the app 🙂

    But the website just wont login at all, tho it worked fine in the uk.

    The creation voucher is one of the complications, but basically the “book by” date in the app is not the same as the stay by date. So yes, you need to be able to log in on the website to make an actual booking beyond that date.

    I’ve got one free night voucher left, I can check for you if that’s all you need? If you need to book urgently, they would probably be able to do this by phone or email.

    *Just FYI, I have to switch to Chrome on my laptop to use the website, it’s that fussy. Probably cookie-related, I suspect.

    I haven’t been able to log in (in UK) via iPad for months. Clicking the button simply doesn’t do anything. PC browser and app work fine.

    For reasons known only to ihg, one of the browsers that wasnt working previously is now logging in. Guess i have to keep that browser installed just for ihg lol.

    The last batch of my creation nights have now been booked for bora bora 🙂

    Try changing your password on the one that works. That sometimes pushes through a security refresh.

    Anyone else having issues today? I can log in and search but not actually book anything, just keep getting thrown back to the hotel list, regardless of device and browser!

    Deleting and reinstalling the app has fixed that, but I can’t use a free night certificate on that. I’ll try changing my password on my laptop, which is a complete PITA as I only did it a couple of months ago in a fit of security-consciousness!
