I have booked a mixed-cabin itinerary with Qatar owing to limited reward availability. We will travel SGN-DOH in business, but DOH-LHR in economy. Will we have access Al Mourjan during our transit?
So this section of the Oneworld rules appears to cover it. Any idea if they follow their own rules?!
Connecting between oneworld marketed and operated flights:
First and Business Class customers connecting on the same day of travel, or before 6am the following day, can access the lounge when travelling between an international long haul (a oneworld international long haul flight is defined as an international flight marketed and operated by any oneworld carrier with a scheduled flight time longer than 5 hours) and an international short haul or domestic flight (and vice-versa).
Lounge access will be determined on the international long haul ticketed flight (either First of Business Class) regardless of the ticketed class of travel on the international short haul or domestic flight.
You must be prepared to show your boarding pass or itinerary showing travel in First or Business class on the international long haul flight, in order to access the lounge before your international short haul or domestic flight.By my reading of those rules you wouldn’t get access, you’re connecting between two long haul flights. You’ll have lounge access before the J flight but not in Doha
Depending on how long your connection is you could use the arrivals lounge
Worth a try on the door. I get Al Safwa F Lounge access when flying DXB-DOH (Gulf regional F) and connecting DOG-MAN (Long haul J).
I too would ask! Never know. But IIRC QR is slightly more generous than the published OW policy for F lounge access in your scenario, they allow Al Safwa lounge as long as you’ve got F in either direction connecting to/from J (not a business lite fare)
