Forums Frequent flyer programs Other frequent flyer schemes Qatar Airways Guest lounge passes

  • 13 posts

    Hello

I have managed to accumulate 6 guest lounge passes in Qatar Privilege Club but as I fly solo for business nearly all the time I have so far not managed to use any and they will probably expire.

On the website it says –

Receive four guest passes3 per year to invite additional friends to join you in the lounge at Hamad International Airport.

Is it possible to use the guest passes at the Qatar frequent flyer lounge at Heathrow? This will give me more of a chance to try and find someone to take in with me before the first pair expire.

    Many thanks
    Sam

Specifics About Guest Passes (From Perplexity!) Caveat Emptor!

Guest passes (complimentary guest lounge passes issued to some Qatar Privilege Club members) can be used, but both the main member and the guest must be traveling on flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways, with departures within three hours of each other.

The main member must be present to redeem the guest lounge pass at entry, and access is subject to capacity restrictions.

These guest passes do not grant access to the Premium Lounge, which is reserved for First and Business Class passengers on revenue (cash) tickets only—no guests permitted in the Premium Lounge

    Thanks Wiseoldman

Those parts of the requirements should be fine, I am just unclear if guest pass usage is limited only to Hamad International Airport as implied by that quote on the website or I could make use of the passes at Heathrow.

I am hoping because at Heathrow they have both a premium lounge and the separate lounge for frequent flyers that it may be acceptable?

    Thanks

Reward tickets in F and J also get into Premium lounges, and if you have status you can bring guests in. Obviously this won’t apply to guest passes though.
