Some business class awards seats at ‘normal’ prices have finally appeared for this summer (English) school holiday from BHX and MAN (didn’t check elsewhere) – mostly for next week.
Except, these ‘normal’ prices don’t seem normal.

For example, BHX/MAN > BKK is correctly coming up at 75k for business class end to end.
But it is also 75k if the DOH > BKK sector is in First (so no price increase)

BHX / MAN > DOH is 43k outside of the school holidays
But next week it is 54k

DOH > BKK is a consistent 25k/50k/75k in economy/business/first next week or at any other time. So it seems the UK > Doha prices have shifted for the school holidays

Booking BHX / MAN > DOH and a separate DOH > BKK is coming up at a combined 108k next week, or 93k at any other time when standard priced award seats are available (or as said, 75k on one booking, even if the 2nd sector is in First Class)

To be clear, none of these prices are for the Q2 double avios seats.

    I don’t get it.

Well, the avios pricing didn’t make any sense to Qatar agents or BA either, but I’ve managed to book BHX > DOH in business and DOH > BKK in first, for 75k on one ticket.
As said, normally the DOH > BKK sector by itself is 75k in first.

Shame the first class sector is overnight, so probably won’t benefit in any way other than perhaps a chance to spend an hour in the Doha first class lounge that people were raving about. But, it didn’t cost any more than business class the whole way.

Sorry, must have missed – how do you get it for 75k Avios?
