@iamlost – do you mean the insurance rule has been dropped? If there’s demonstrable evidence of this, we won’t bother getting it, if not, as mentioned above, it’s only £10pp to avoid any potential issues on arrival!
Yes – not only does the FCO make it clear this rule applies to stays of 30+ days, even the Qatari government website says so! No one staying less than a month needs to buy an approved policy, but is of course advised to have their own coverage.
