I have been searching reward flights on Qatar for a while now, and today for the first time I noticed that certain dates are labelled “off-peak”. I know from HFP that a Qatar off-peak timetable exists but is not public. I’m not sure whether labelling dates off-peak in search is a new thing or I just saw it for the first time now because I was searching a new route? Also it’s not clear to me what difference it makes – the number of Avios required seems to be the same? Can anyone shed any light on this?
Specifically, when you first get the search results and above them there is a row of seven dates centred on your search date – above some of those dates I now see the words “Off-Peak”. But I have always searched business class on routes transiting Doha before whereas today I searched economy starting in Doha so it may be because of my different search parameters rather than a real change.
