Does anyone know if the stopover hotel deals that Qatar Airways offer are eligible if you’re on a reward flight? Would you need to make two bookings for the flights in and out of Doha, or is there a way of making a single reward booking with a stopover of three days, for example?

I asked QR a few days ago when I was on the phone for something else. They said that they are not doing these deals any more, you just need to book a hotel separately. I wasn’t specific about redemptions or cash tickets, so I guess they are not doing the for either. I haven’t seen anything recently.

Ts&Cs say it has to be booked through that specific page to qualify, so no. There’s a specfic email address for enquiries in the stopover booking section.

Thanks @davefl I hadn’t found that – doesn’t seem to be so well publicised now. As I’m looking to book a redemption, it won’t apply to me either.

I want to book a 1 or 2 night stop in Qatar in each leg of an Aus/NZ trip, it appears that there is more availability looking at the EU-DOH and DOH-Aus (or NZ) legs separately. As I’m not looking to protect a connection, I can’t see any reason not to do this – possibly higher fees?

Any thoughts here, or maybe I should start a new thread?

What pricing do you get when booking separately as opposed to all on the same booking? If it’s not massively different then just book separately. This gives you more flexibility as well if you decide to change any of your travel dates/destinations.

Do you mean fees? If so, I need to look at that in more detail, as it also varies depending on where you book through.

As I’m looking at a redemption, the Avios cost is the same.
