Well this is interesting. I’m flying Manchester/Doha/Dhaka and return in March in Qatar business class on BA Avios redemption. Booked over a year ago and there have been three changes to dates and times due to covid, etc. Just had email from Qatar telling me that the Doha/Dhaka sector both ways will now be run by Oman Air, with an Omani aircraft and crew but I “can still expect the award-winning service that Qatar Airways delivers”. Same dep/arr times.
Anybody had this before? Anybody flown Oman Business Class? As Qatar Business is so outstanding I’m a bit concerned. I’m hoping they are not a dry airline! Also, unclear how their promise about “the same award-winning service” can be kept by a different business…
At least it’s not a replacement bus service…
Oman Air Business Class gets very good reports. I’d be surprised if it’s quite the same as Qatar though
I have flown both Qatar (not Q suite) and Oman Air Business Class.I found them equally good in both soft and hard product, apart from the lounge experience where I much preferred Doha to Muscat. Given your routing though that will not be an issue. It was thankfully not dry on our route which was LHR – BKK via Muscat.
