The 2 of us have booked business class return flights using avios travelling on QR in nov to SE Asia however booked on BA website
Otb flight now misconnects due to a schedule change
Called BA for options , they saying Alternative service same day (on QR still ) has no avois seats available (when I checked paying business seats still available for purchase)
What are my options , can I insist for BA to rebook me on QR same day in business or ? CX have business clsss seats also for sale (not avios seats in business only economy) can I be put in business in cx also if I wish

Is it all one booking? What is the route and what has been changed? Re-routing rights will depend on whether it’s a change or cancellation, but it’s not totally clear what’s happened here.

I was under impression that I should be able to rebook on QR in the same cabin even if no redemption seats are available ?
That’s for cancellations, however they should move you to an alternative connecting flight (regardless of avios availability). I would try BA again and hope to get someone more sensible.
Also, how recently was the change? The system might realise the issue in a couple of days and move your onward booking. I take it there’s no joy via MMB?
So many reports like this about QR atm …
Missconnection is still covered similar to a cancellation as per conditions, this link will be helpful. https://www.qatarairways.com/tradeportal/en/policies/Schedule-change.html , when i had a similar issue i had the same issue where they kept saying only avios seats were allowed but this is not true and polite persistince got me booked in revenue seat
