I will likely have a few solo days in Delhi in mid April 2024 (arriving early AM on a Fri, leaving the following Mon morning).
There seem to be a few “3 day/2 night” safari inclusive trips to the park being advertised which would (just about!) fit with my available days.
Has anyone here had experience with such packages/providers, or any tips in general for visiting this park?
Thanks!
It’s quite a trek from Delhi but you don’t need an agent if you want to do it. The train is slightly quicker than by road. A hotel near the park can meet you at the station as well as organising entry.
There is so much to see in Delhi, I’d just stay in the city.
Thanks for the advice and suggestions.
I’ve experienced quite a bit of Delhi during several work trips in the past, albeit about 20 years ago, so was considering heading a bit further afield. The lure of seeing Bengal tigers (maybe…!) in that environment was appealing, but you could be right possibly a bit OTT travel wise for this trip.
If you’ve not been to Agra for the Taj, it’s worth it. Also a trek, but you only really need one night to stay. You could even do a day trip as I think it’s 3.5hrs by train. You could combine with Fatehpur Sikri which is definitely worth a trip.
You are not overly far from Chandigarh but I can’t say it floated my boat as a destination.
