Hi
I currently have a 241 to MRU, flying out Premium and back J.
I’m hoping, as its a 241, that some availability might show up in J nearer the time for the outbound. If it does and I appreciate it’s a big if, I know I’ll have to pay £35pp to effectively upgrade, pay the extra fees and the extra Avios.
As this point, do you know if I’m also able to change my Avios / cash mix? In other words, I’m trying to not use any more Avios but happy to pay more. Is this possible as a full re-price without releasing seats back into inventory? At the moment I’m on a max Avios mix, which makes sense on a 241 but actually in the interest of saving some Avios, the next “mix” down is also great value.
Cheers
Alex
You’d need to cancel (and hope the seats come back) to get it repriced.
How annoying. But if I retain the same mix, I can upgrade the outbound right without releasing the seats?
Is there an F cabin to MRU? I thought it was one of those 3-class destinations.
But I think you can upgrade one-way without cancelling the whole trip.
Not as far as I’m aware in terms of F. It’s a 777 LGW so presumably they don’t have first. I’d lovw to try it. I used to fly EK with work in J and got upgraded to F which was an amazing treat.
MRU seems to be a prime candidate for Club Suite swaps out of LGW though but the more I read about it, the more I think old CW might be better for sleeping.
The MAN to LHR to LGW is a real pain but it’s our honeymoon so booked an early LHR flight, gonna catch a matinee in the West End then onwards to LGW.
But sadly outbound could only manage PE due to availability.
I actually think in theory this is supposed to be possible

How you’d get on in practice on the other hand I’m not sure! Worth asking though (although sadly extra seats to MRU will be very unlikely- 32 seat cabin and they’ve already released 4 for Avios. Though a CS upgrade will work in your favour both for additional seats and operational upgrades)
Interesting. Maybe worth a call but not sure I’d pay £35pp just to do a different mix without the upgrade so possibly never find out.
Based on seat cabin, J seems pretty full as does PE so agree unless there is a last minute CS UG, seems highly unlikely.
