Have a platinum and looking to make a referral. Unfortunately I can’t see what my offer is as Amex have kindly removed my ability to do so, however I did see a banner mentioning a bonus. I do have an old link I can use. Does anyone know what the bonus currently is? Thanks
On my Platinum, I get 18k, and the other person gets 60k for £6k in 6 months. I believe that’s an enhanced bonus as some other referrals are for 45k only (the standard is 40k without referral). I am also offered 3 points per £1 spent up to £15k for the next 3 months. But, I’ve already reached 90k in referrals this year, so no use to me!
The 3 points/£1 promo popped up in the app this week but I’m blocked from getting through to the referrals page. Do you know if the recipient has to sign up for the Platinum card to trigger this or can it be any card? Thanks.
Last time the bonus points multiplier was available for me on my Gold card, my friend signed up to the Platinum Cashback (£25 ver) and I got the multiplier applied. I think the T&Cs stayed the same and just said they need to be referred, and wasn’t limited to just Gold signups.
You need to test the link on a new browser session and if it comes up without an error yes you can use it and share to others, however most likely it will say Your Account is temporarily unable to access the Referral Programme, please read our full T&Cs here for more information.
