Hi
LHR-GCM flight has been cancelled for next April. Will BA consider rerouting us via Miami in one direction using AA for the connecting flight? We’re only going for a 4 night stay but family stuff means tacking on an extra night is being a bit greedy and just going for 3 nights doesn’t really work either.
Thanks
Yes should be no problem.
Remember though that AA changes its schedules more often than some people change their socks so be prepared for multiple changes between now and departure.
Great, many thanks. I didn’t know the limitations once you were looking beyond the US.
OK, I’ve just looked at the rebooking guidelines on the trade site and am not sure this will work.
We were supposed to go Thursday to Monday. The outbound has been cancelled. I had hoped to bring the outbound forward by a day (still on BA), and then the return also forward by a day, swapped from BA to AA via Miami.
Now, the rebooking classification means we – I think – would only be able to move to an AA flight within 24hrs of the cancelled BA flight, because the Caribbean isn’t in the JV – it’s only the US, Canada & Mexico
However as there’s no same day connection using AA on the outbound, we seem to be in a bit of a tight spot. We would have to overnight in MIA, eating into an already short trip.
I’ll give them a call in the morning if I can get through to discuss, but if anyone else has any ideas, I’d be keen to hear them!
Thanks
