Retreat Suite in UC — now £314 per passenger
When did that shoot up from the £200 each I last read about?
We just got back from MIA on a 300neo and (being 6’2″ and 18 stone) I could not fit in the std lay-flat bed.
Noticed we are on another 300neo for a one way MIA-LHR in November too and there is now way I want to experience that again – I would have moved to a PE seat if they had one as it at least has “wings” on the headrest for sleeping partially reclined.
Anyway, I thought I would check out the Retreat as the bed is longer and perhaps wider? – only to get a shock ta the £314 pp price.
Taking into account the really bad UC seat on Sunday, I looked at the price to rebook a PE instead.
WOW – Im glad I checked.
Original MIA-LHR One Way in UC for 2
£743.60
168000 points
1 x Voucher
MIA-LHR One Way in PE for 2
$214.90 (roughly £159)
27000 points
No voucher
£140 for 2 x £70 cancellation fee on cancelled UC
Given that I cannot fit / sleep in UC on 300Neo I might as well have the moveable headrest in PE and save a lot of points, cash and a voucher
I would agree!
On our MAN-MCO flight in March they seemed to give the retreat suite to the passenger with the highest status, from what we gathered chatting to the couple who had been allocated it. They were very happy to have an extra £600-worth of value!
