Reward+ sign up bonus promotion?

Hi

I hope you’re well.

My Amex Gold is up for renewal in a few weeks and I won’t be looking to renew.

Instead, I’ll be looking for a Reward+ card which has a pretty ‘standard’ sign up bonus currently of 18,000 points.

How often do they run a promotion on this? Is there one due soon? I’m sure the sign up bonus will be enhanced the day after I sign up either way.

I have the free Virgin card currently for when Amex isn’t accepted, but have a couple of bigger purchases coming up in the summer so would need to be on a more rewarding card by that point.

Nothing coming up in the short term, although to caveat that we don’t normally get more than a week or so’s notice from Virgin.

I don’t have one at the minute, but wonder if I could sign up and then when the card arrives order the VA credit card.

I’ll have to read the small print.

Edit – Never mind, it says you can’t already have a VA credit card to which I already have the free one.

Just wondering if there’s any news of a possible signup bonus increase coming up? I need to get a new card and haven’t seen a good bonus for a while.

I suggest there are better things to do in a sunny August than waste your time applying for credit cards.

Used to be fairly regular around every 6 months November and spring but as they say in all financial ads past performance is no guarantee of future results
