Good afternoon all
I have a couple of nights stay over in Doha later this year and there are quite a few choices and availability for hotels in Doha. Currently I’m leaning towards the W Doha. But does anyone else have any recommendations?
Thanks
Depends what you are there for and looking for. Are your days free? If yes, do you like beaches?
Yes it’s just a stop over I’ll be working in India for a few days and just going to spend a few days around Doha and maybe around the pool and eat out.
I’m actually going on a family holiday including Doha about 4 weeks after when we are staying at the four seasons so I don’t need to do a lot whilst I’m there.
The W is not great pool wise as it is in a built up area. Since you’re not too fussed I’d be inclined to decide based on price amongst the two St Regis and the two Ritz Carltons. @Northernlass was raving about good treatment at the RC (not the Sharq Village one).
Yes the RC (marina) was fabulous, I did a mini review here back in Dec.
The best thing was that I could use points for a club room, which covered most of our F & B needs for the stay. IIRC it was around 250k points for 5 nights.
Thanks both, I will have another look from memory the W was half the points of the other hotels but I will check.
We are looking to stay at JW Marriott City Centre, excellent pool, linked to the city centre mall.
