I booked a room in the honours sale 2 weeks ago (so is not refundable), but will not longer be able to make it to London tonight. More than happy for anyone to use and I can pass details over, is booked on my gold status so includes Breakfast etc.

That’s really nice of you. Be sure to ensure your card can’t be used for any extras. Come to think of it, have you got no pals you can trust to stay?
It’s worth asking the hotel if they would move the date, hotels can be accommodating during these times, especially when you don’t ask for a refund.
I’d suggest asking them to change the date. I have same experience as Abdul, places are still quite flexible.
Otherwise, we’re going to a theater nearby tonight, so if the room should go to waste, I could take it off your hands.
Ask yourself whose credit card will be paying for any charges if an internet stranger smokes in your hotel room. Or smashes the TV, refuses to check out on time, or steals the kettle.
