Discuss today's stories:
Hi all, has anyone else found that the RAM manage-booking function to change the frequent flyer number has disappeared over the past few days – or maybe it’s a glitch. Thanks.
Yes I noticed that today too. Was fine on Friday so something seems to have changed overnight. Not sure what alternatives are possible? Jordanian site doesnt work.
Oh right, I thought I was the only one… then they actually changed it. So annoying!
Yep – Royal Air Maroc issue also happened to me today. Had to phone BAEC to do it.
Not only was the Royal Air Maroc functionality removed on 1/4/25 but this was also done across the entire oneworld ecosystem.
My advice if you wish to change a frequent flyer number is to simply call BA and have the BA number removed. Do not change it, remove it, and get the agent to end the transaction and confirm removal. This is a suggestion from a travel blog from years back.
Having done so go to BA app or web site and access you booking and scroll down to Manage my booking and passenger names. You will then see the option to insert a frequent flyer programme number.
In my, albeit short experience, doing this ensures that the booking is then visible in the account of your chosen programme.
4 BA flights this month and so far none have credited to AY. 2 went to BA and have been reversed 2 have vanished in to the ether. My BA future flights changed yesterday all appeared in AY app once I put AY number in. A long haul QR operated, IB ticketed flight cannot be accessed on AY web site. Not sure why!!

How do we know this was implemented across the entire oneworld ecosystem? Not sure there were any other oneworld airlines which allowed this anyway? (after Finnair removed the functionality sometime last year.)

I used the RAM website to change FF# four times throughout April with the last being on the morning of 30th April, it was removed in the few days after this, not on 1st April (which would have coincided with the BAC change date).
i’d be seriously surprised if BA could dictate to other airlines to remove some features from their own websites…
more likely it seems to be some sort of harmonisation of IT systems where OW airlines agreed (well before the BAC changes) this should not be a field that can be amended at will by customers

You could do this on both AY and RJ prior to the changes by BA
Moreover BA are now denting claims to the AY programme despite being on CE cabin and the AY number clearly shown on the boarding pass. There is no doubt in my mind that BA are deliberately trying to frustrate people sing to other FFPs.
AY functionality was removed way before BA changes were even announced.

Yes, that came just after the RJ hotel status matches. It’s still not an entirely closed route though.
Also tried Srilankan.Ff number is a locked field.
