I am looking to book one of the Royal Caribbean cruises to various Caribbean locations. This is my first time booking a cruise and was wondering if there are any tips and tricks to save £££ on their cruises.
    Thanks.

Sorry can’t edit the post so posting another Q.
Are there any OTA in the cruise space where better deals can be found? Or is it advisable to always book direct like with airlines?

Worth comparing prices between booing direct with RC , and through third party agents such as Seascanner, IGLU, Cruise Nation , Viva Voyage. Check out any special offers and how they might benefit you, eg on board credit, drinks packages second sailor discounts , cashback offers via the usual suspects.

We’ve used Iglu, Cruise Nation and Viva Voyage before to get what we felt was the best deal, and no issues arising from not booking direct in those cases, but appreciate that others may have had different experiences.

    Try cruise compete.

Also look at Cruise Critic for cabin reviews etc.

Ship’s excursions tend to be much more expensive than booking yourself.

Nationwide travel insurance – with cruise supplement – pays out £150 each (ie £300 for two in a cabin) for any cruise ports skipped. Can be nice if weather poor – as happened to me in Tahiti in September. £600 from Nationwide after a five minute phone call!

Also Cruise Compete where agents will compete to provide the best deals

And there’s a cruise TA on the BA e-store – Cruise118 – that pays 3 Avios per £ spent, so that might be worth a look

Thank you everyone for the helpful responses. I will look into the options you all have suggested.
    Cheers.
