Hi
I’ve signed up to Sainsburys life insurance purely for the avios. So I understand 5 payments need to be made to qualify for the offer but do I need to keep up payments for the nectar points to post after that (up to 60 days) or can I cancel the policy risk free?
Also – I entered my nectar card number during the Sainsburys sign up but is there anywhere else I can see it has linked correctly or is it just blind faith at this stage?
Kind regards
Grant
On balance, I think I’ll make the payments until the Nectar points land. That should only be another £10. I’ve set a calendar reminder to cancel in March!
I have blind faith ….
I jumped to it, too. S’burys was fine with the pet insurance for the same purpose.
How long do you have to wait before you rinse and repeat for the bonus?
How long do you have to wait before you rinse and repeat for the bonus?
This was asked and answered yesterday, but regrettably the spoon feeding service is now closed for the evening however, as always the answer is very clearly stated in the terms but be quick because with questions/publicity like this, the doors should be slamming shut quite soon.
Just FYI, for the non over-50’s cover TCB currently works out better at most levels depending on your monthly premiums.
£5/PM = 7875 avios @ TCB vs 6250 @ Nectar
£8.50/PM = 7875 avios @ TCB vs 10,000 @ Nectar
£10.01/PM = 10,500 avios @ TCB vs 10,000 @ Nectar
£15.01/PM = 15,000 avios @ TCB vs 10,000 @ Nectar
£20.01/PM = 18,000 avios @ TCB vs 13,750 @ Nectar
…Unless someone has a targeted bonus?
So, I’m over 50. Am I potentially then looking at 20k nectar points for £25?
22 Sep policy commenced
Direct debit x5 taken (next due 22 Feb)
17 Feb Nectar points posted
18 Feb DD & policy cancelled
Not a bad deal at all.
4) We’ll award points for no more than 2 polices per household in any 12 month period
P1 opened in Jan 2023 and closed a few months later. P2 opened in May and closed Jan 2024. Reading that could I go ahead and start the merry go round again? I am being a bit ditzy with that T&C rule.
