Seat Selection in Bronze

Can’t find the answer to this anywhere. The free seat selection in bronze is allowed 7 days before the flight.
We are booked NEW (16:25) – LHR, then LHR (22:30) – CPT
Couple of questions:
1. Does free seat booking open a) at 00:00 7 days before or b) do I have to wait until 16:25.
2. If option B above, do I have to wait until 22:30 to book the LHR-CPT seats?
