Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club SeatSpy v BA Exec Club app

I saw a useful comment on the forum the other day about the BAEC app having a reward flight finder function. I’ve downloaded it and sure enough there is….but it seems to be for domestic flights only? Is there any way to get wider availability?

Click on the ‘to’ (destination) tab and you can select, regions, countries and individual cities. Though you can’t set up an alert, as you can with seat spy. But if you want to quickly look for 7 F flights anywhere in America. or 2 J flights to the Caribbean then it works well

I have just done a test for Capetown. The BA Exec App does not show the increased availability if using the 2 for 1 voucher. On the normal website where you search using the voucher, it indicates:- As you are using a BA American Express Premium Plus Companion Voucher, additional seats have been made available to you on 1 or more of the British Airways flights you have searched.
The App does not show the better availability.

I don’t think there is any available option to search multiple destinations / dates for the new 241 additional availability. Be that the BA website or seatspy?

Okay, I was thinking of a one way FROM the likes of Australia, but it only allows domestic airports in the from field? And therefore only return reward flights can be searched for from UK airports?

Okay maybe I’ve cracked it – you can do a return to a destination and it will show you inbound flight availability.

I believe you can search from anywhere ba flies direct, so you can search from Sydney to london, you can search one way. You can’t do Perth or Melbourne

That’s weird because for me, using the BAEC Rewards app, it only lets me search for reward availability FROM domestic airports. I can get most but not all destinations to work in the TO field. BUt some don’t appear like SYD

Re-reading your comment, you mention the ba rewards app. Try the standard BA app. Then look for reward flights, then reward flight finder.
