Hi
Would really appreciate some advice on best seating in Upper for a couple travelling
I’m booked onto VS21 A330-300
the seats available to me in row A on the older-style seat plane is 1A, 2A, 5A, 6A
I was going to go for the front seats but am aware I could be sat opp a baby. 5&6 seem a bit far back – or is it worth the risk?
return is VS4 A350-1000
Again 1A and 2A is available. Is there a bassinet opp these seats too?
What are the best seats you would recommend please for a couple?
There are three styles of Upper cabin. You’re travelling in two of them – the herringbone design on the A330 (which also appears on the 789 for the most part – the only difference being the location of the bar), and the UC Suites (Safran Cirrus NG) on the A351.
On the A330, most couples appear to sit next to each other, rather than across the aisle. This allows you to talk to each other, if you want, since there are no seats next to each other in the middle. The bassinet on the A330/B789 is to the left of 1G, as you’re sat in it, and therefore also opposite 1A as you’re sat in that. You can see it in action at https://www.showthemtheglobe.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Virgin-Upper-Class-with-Baby-8.webp. If that might be a problem for you, sit in 5A and 6A.
I haven’t see a little one on the A351 yet, but I think the sky cots fit snugly in to one of the suites, so you could find a baby anywhere in the cabin.
In short: no matter where you sit, the service is exemplary. You will be well taken care of!
