For a multitude of reasons I still have my booking hanging in limbo lol
I managed to use one in June, after BA had previously cancelled two bookings on which I’d attempted to use it. Took quite an argument to get it back though, and it had to be processed manually. They will try to insist that they will only refund the Avios and taxes/fees.
You may find it easier to claim rebooking rights under EC261 if you want to fly the original route.
Assumes BA cancelled your previous booking of course – those vouchers were never refundable in the event of customer cancellation.
I used my last two flying to LAX, CWS return, last March, but that was a worst deal that I had for the original June 2021 booking to Tokyo (2 people, RTN, 114k Avios, plus two Lloyds vouchers plus £1000 tax & charges) which unfortunately they insisted on refunding without other option (I now know I should have held my ground and insist on different options)
