Hi, I have it the sign up bonus and I’m not interested in the upgrade voucher or the 7k avios as I need to get my spend back on to Amex. Can I do the downgrade straightaway or shall I wait until the Avios have been transferred to my BAEC account?

More importantly, do you have the offer to downgrade in your account yet?
Assuming you mean downgrade from Avios Plus to the free card, providing the SUB avios are showing in your Barclaycard account you can do that at any time (if you have the option as @NorthernLass says).
The switch doesn’t take effect until your next statement, and any pending avios (from both cards if applicable) transfer as normal at the beginning of the next month.

Yes the offer is there. I currently have about 27k pending Avios and my statement date is 29/06. So my downgrade will take effect on the statement date and the Avios will transfer after that? Is that correct?

Well the offer was there it’s now gone?
How long have you had the card? The downgrade offer doesn’t usually appear until at least 4 months after you get it. But I’ve just had a quick scroll through the app and it’s telling me they’re having technical issues so maybe it’ll reappear.
