Flying Glasgow to Melbourne today having bought tickets through Qantas (Oneworld). Thought I would use the BA lounge in Glasgow as I am Silver Tier. Was told this was not possible by BA staff at lounge as the flight is actually operated by Emirates (non Oneworld). Is this correct or should I have been allowed BA lounge access (boarding passes show Qantas and Emirates flight numbers but I didn’t even get as far as showing these.
“Members of oneworld airline frequent flyer programmes with the equivalent of oneworld Emerald or Sapphire tier status can use lounges offered by oneworld airlines when departing on any flight marketed and operated by any oneworld member airline, regardless of cabin class being flown”

It’s not operated by a OW carrier therefore no lounge access.
