If I am looking to book buisness (or even 1st) return in January 2024 for our wedding anniversary. What advise can you give me for being able to get this booked? I’m not fussy on dates at all, just looking to use my 2 for 1 companion voucher and go back to where we got married
Thankyou
Be online or on the phone at midnight at T-355 for SIN! There are many threads about the best call centre and exact times you need to do all this. I haven’t seen F to SIN for a very long time but it’s not guaranteed anyway so your best bet would be to book J (club/business) and set an alert on SeatSpy if you want to try and upgrade your flights later.
A brief look at SeatSpy shows no days at all in the whole schedule with 2 x J seats available, just to illustrate how difficult it is to bag this route. At MichaelC managed recently but I think it took him a few late nights to get his seats!
Firstly, you will not be able to book anything for at least 4-5 mos. Availability for rewards seats is made T-355 days. So I would suggest having your reward voucher ready to book in Jan 2023, by calling up BA and booking the outbound and calling [duration of trip] later to add the inbound journey. Singapore is a very high demand route and this is normally the best way to ensure you get both the seats and dates of your preference.
IME, first availability for Singapore is rare (but not impossible). The new style voucher certainly helps though for business. I would book Club and worry about first later. Your best bet is setting an alert on seatspy for that after booking your tix. After BA scrapped KUL/BKK, SIN is now the only SE Asia gateway for BA flyers hence the competitive nature for seats.

As the others have mentioned, you need to be ready at midnight 355 days before your preferred dates (so mid- to late-Jan/early Feb 2023 for you: the fact you’re flexible gives you more “chances”!).
In general, I’d say the later in Jan., the easier, as everyone will have returned from N Year/school hols. by mid-Jan.
I did mine online, with the dates/people already keyed in, and simply refreshing 3 seconds before midnight.
Good luck, and happy anniv. when it arrives!
