I know Virgin said they would begin integration with SkyTeam “in 2023” but does anyone have any idea when I’ll start beiing able to redeem Virgin points on partner airlines, as I have some reward seats I’d like to book for Asian flights (ie Vietnam Airlines) in May and am wondering whether to hold off.
I did manage to book some on Korean Air by transferring Amex MR to Delta account and booking with them (have no idea which app my boarding pass will appear on tohugh!) but I don’t have enough MR left, but am left with plenty of FC miles.
I believe they’re due to enter in February. Don’t expect award availability instantly – and likely not ahead of time – though; there will likely be some further integration in to DL IT that needs to happen. Some is already progressing, but there will be some more after February.
They’ve said January but I’ve also heard Shai say ‘Q1’, most recently at a lunch last week. I suspect they will want to have ‘earn and burn’ ready for Day 1.
