Í am Gold for this year and maybe soft to Silver in 2026. Do I need to do four BA metal flights to get this, if BA lets it happen next year?
Like many others here I am crediting my BA flights to another OW programme ( Enrich suits my flight profile) and so won’t bother with the BAC … unless I have to for the next couple of years till my Enrich Gold becomes self sustaining..
Sorry if this has been a topic extensively covered elsewhere but I looked and 300plus pages of topics defeated me !In the past – which is all we really can go on – there has been no requirement to complete 4 flights in order to soft land.
As to what happens next year we really don’t know what will happen.
As there is no longer a requirement for four flights to earn status in the first place it’s reasonable to assume there won’t be any such requirement for a soft landing. Whether soft landings continue is a separate unknown.
Thanks guys. As you say it’s still up in the air. It’s tedious changing status provider mid trip but without certainty and as it’s cost free It’s probably worth doing for now. I’d happily leave it till I am silver because Gold doesn’t really float my boat too much. If I get it thru work that’s nice but if I don’t it won’t really impact my experience. Except maybe when the Gold line has been a good resource if problems have occurred when I am time zones away down route.

No longer need 4 flights. 20 or 30 at a minimum 😂
