“Something went wrong” when applying for Barclaycard

My partner has been trying to apply a few times in the last 30 minutes.
After submitting the details we keep seeing a “something went wrong” page telling us that there was an error, that the credit score wouldn’t be affected and they’re working to fix the issue. We’ve tried on multiple browsers.
Anyone else affected by this?
Tried again now and still the same issue.
If it’s not a transient issue, I wonder whether the system doesn’t like the apostrophe in the surname…
