So hubby got his card during the HFP bonus signup. Everything went smoothly with his card, but we had several of the usual hiccups with my supplementary card card (curve/PayPal/anything requiring 2FA) though we got most of them sorted.
But the worry of being caught out unable to use the supplementary card for some reason spooked me and we decided that I would apply for my own. I was approved based on household income, and card arrived today.
I’m having the usual Curve and PayPal issues (I still have to use the card so am waiting to do a chip and pin tansaction before calling them), but my new issue is that when trying to link my BA Executive Club Account with the card, I’m getting an error SP042.
I’m sure I’ve seen that error before in the forums but have been through the last 3 pages of posts and can’t find anything.
Had anyone who has had issues with this had it resolved, or had there been any problem with getting your avios transferred correctly into your account. We had to supply them with our BA Number when applying so I’d hope that would be there.
Thanks in advance as this is a new one. Now wondering if I should have just left it with the potential secondary card issues I was facing instead of adding more.
Never mind. I added the app to my iPad and it worked fine on there to link. Then when I went back to my phone app it was all linked up.
