I took out Amex business platinum card in last 2 months and reached the spend target about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately the MR points (85K) have still not posted. In the past with my other cards I have received the MR points after a few days.
I have spoken to chat a few times who said they will escalate it but points have still not been received. I may have to call once I have time (unfortunately business team have more restricted opening hours than personal card and are closed on weekends).
Does Amex have a timeframe by which they need to post the points?
I’ve got similar situation. Raised with the chat. Was told:
“Raising a case, timeframe 7-10 working days”
And
“We require update from our team mentioning the bonus”
This all seems odd, historically points have automatically applied as soon as the payment taking you above the threshold cleared.
This is perhaps related to why I started this other thread. My friend took out the Business Gold and has received zip — I need to tell him what to ask for, but unfortunately I don’t know what terms applied when he signed up!

I called Amex to discuss. Spoke to one of the supervisors at Brighton and was told that bonus points will post after 3 months. He was adamant that in his years of working for Amex this was always the case and bonus points do not appear before this. I explained to him that this has never been the case before – as you mention historically the points will always post quickly once spend is reached (usually within a few days).
I asked for a link to terms and conditions but he was unable to provide this. He did signpost me to Amex website where current offer for Amex card says “MR points will be awarded shortly after the end of the three months.” However it later says “Please note it can take up to one month for bonus points to be awarded to your Account” so it is not very clear.
Essentially I was told to wait for the 3 months to elapse. Anyone had a similar experience speaking to the call centre?

Historically, over 5 different cards points have been within a few days of meeting spend target.

Have you tried the various archive websites to see if the page was captured?

Yes same here. The one time it didn’t (few years ago) I had to escalate and Amex manually added the points as they mentioned the auto function had failed.
I explained this to the supervisor but he was adamant that it always takes 3 months and shouldn’t post earlier than that (which we all know is incorrect)

That’s what I did, and then posted my own answer for the benefit of anyone else searching.
Another supporting data point : I’ve always had the SUB pay out the day after the target was met … change of policy or foul up do we think?
