I want to make one large purchase that goes above my card limit.

On my Platinum card there is a button at the top of the home screen that says ‘check spending power’, but not on my BAPP. I’m assuming that this is becuase it’s a charge card and essentially no limit.
You mention above that the large purchase is above your limit, so i assume it is not the platinum card. Therefore the purchase would need to be within your limit and you’ll need to call them and ask them if you can get an increase .
If I’m not mistaken, I believe CS is able to approve a one-off purchase that goes above your limit, but probably best to confirm with them.
If you ask them they can tell you the max purchase amount allowed to go through
