    I have a non cancellable / prepaid rate booked with Hilton.

    Ideally, I want to split the bill over two cards. Will this be possible at the desk on arrival/checkout?

    I booked 2 prepaid rooms recently and they were both charged to my card within a couple of days (which happily triggered the £50 Amex cash back). If you haven’t been charged by checkout there should be no problem paying on 2 cards. If you have, you can try via the hotel back office to get it refunded and recharged to the 2 cards. I did something similar with a stay in March where the bill had been charged to one Amex and the £50 offer appeared the same day on a different one! Hilton kindly refunded card 1 and re-charged to card 2.

    Call the hotel now or else they will probably charge it to the card in the booking by the time you arrive. If you say which hotel, someone might be able to say if it tends not to charge prepaid rates until check in time.

    If you go to the front desk at a non-busy time they shouldn’t have an issue with partially refunding and recharging, particularly if you can present both cards and they are yours.
