Forums Other Destination advice Staying airside at Paris CDG overnight?

  • 2 posts

I have posted this on another forum website, so apologies to those who may be on both. I am just after a definitive answer in light of the changes today to UK travellers transiting in France.

I have a flight to CDG where I need to stop overnight for 10 hours then leave the country again. On separate tickets so no way the bags will be put through for me. I would have to go landside for about 7 hours to collect bag and continue the trip.

I cannot now go landside due to new restrictions. I finally decided that I can make this work with hand baggage only. So, I think I have determined that I can stay airside and transfer from Terminals 2A to 2C (as they appear to be in the same building). So, no immigration, no passports as I am arriving and departing to non-Schengen countries.

Other than the massive discomfort, can anyone see a reason I would not be able to stay airside in 2A or 2C overnight? Can’t get to the Yotel as it is 2E only and they tell me that I won’t be permitted to enter without a BP for a flight leaving 2E.

No issue at all. CDG isn’t even particularly uncomfortable as overnight airports go. Terminal 2A used to have comfy seating and of course there are lounges in 2A and 2C.
